Queensland Rail - Environmental Approval

Project description: Green Tape Solutions was engaged by Queensland Rail to conduct Ecological Equivalence assessments for a property identified to potentially satisfy the respective offset requirement for one of QR Transport Corridor project. This project required vegetation offsets to offset the clearing of Endangered and Of Concern REs, and Essential Habitat for Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) under the Vegetation Management Act 1999 (VM Act).

Role performed in engagement: Determination and calculation was provided from the Ecological Equivalence score for each transect (from the proposed offset area), and discussion on Ecological Equivalence assessment and the ability of the site to meet the obligations required under the Queensland Policy for Vegetation Management Offsets (Queensland Government Natural Resources and Water, 2007) was provided. Additional works have included assisting with the securing of the offset site.
